3 chosen for induction into Hall of Fame

From the eight nominations received for the fifth annual induction ceremony, the Peer Review Committee for the National Hall of Fame for Mountain Artisans chose three nominees.

The renowned artisans are: John Brock, of Pineville, award-winning master woodcrafter; Jeri Landers, of Rutledge, Tenn., national award-winning author, artist and illustrator; Dolly Parton, of Sevierville and Nashville, Tenn., country/western music icon, author and actress.

Nominees will be inducted at 2 p.m. on April 5 in the auditorium of the Edsel Godbey Appalachian Center on the Cumberland campus of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College.

The 2014 inductees join an elite group of awesome mountain artisans representing six national mountain ranges.
