Rosspoint Elementary School recently hosted a Family Reading Night.

Activities included students listening to Dr. Seuss books, games, crafts, face painting, and a Dr. Seuss trivia contest.

Parents attended a workshop presented by Harlan County Community Educator Cecilia Adams who shared information on the importance of reading with your children.

Community members, faculty and staff, and older Rosspoint students volunteered to prepare and provide activities for the event.

Those attending were served refreshments and took home free books and other reading related items. The event was enjoyed by over 200 parents and students.
