The Lee Theatre will present a play entitled “Little House on the Prairie” adapted from the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder by Pamela Sterling.
Located in Pennington Gap, Va., the play will be performed with permission by the Little House Heritage Trust and performed by The Barter Theater Players at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
“Join the Ingalls family as they leave the Big Woods of Wisconsin and head west to seek adventure and a new way of life in Indian Territory. This is a beautiful and faithful retelling of the beloved book as well as a celebration of America’s frontier as seen through the eyes of a young girl. It’s an American classic you won’t want your students or children to miss,” said Industrial Development Authority President and Pennington Gap Town Council member Terry Pope.
“Event tickets are available for purchase at the theater box office the day of the event. Purchase price is $5 for children and adults.”
Advance tickets can be purchased at the Pennington Gap Town Hall, located at 204 Constitution Road in Pennington Gap or you may call (276) 546-4000.
Pope said the play is recommended for school children grades three and up, but “everyone will enjoy the play.”
