Police said a tip from an informant led to the arrest of a woman on drug charges Tuesday.
Ashley Halcomb, 29, of Linefork, was arrested by Cumberland Police Officer Ryan Shepherd after officers followed up on information supplied to them by the informant.
The citation states police received a tip that Halcomb had methamphetamine in a vehicle. She consented to a search of the car, and police found a box containing needles and a sandwich bag with a white powdery substance inside.
According to the citation, Halcomb admitted that bag contained methamphetamine. Police reported finding 13 large oblong pills in a bag inside the box.
Halcomb was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of a legend drug.
Halcomb was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.

* Gary Thomas, 33, of Baxter, was arrested Tuesday by Harlan City Police Assistant Chief Mike Boggs on a probation violation. Thomas was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center;
* Bobby Joe Shepherd, 47, of Harlan, was arrested Tuesday by Harlan City Police on an indictment warrant for first-degree trafficking a controlled substance. Shepherd was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond secured by 10 percent.
