A Loyall man was arrested by Bell County Sheriff’s Department deputies on a charge of robbery early Tuesday morning in Middlesboro.
Robby Joe Johnson, 30, was arrested by Deputy Scott Gray.
Johnson was charged with first-degree robbery.
According to the arrest citation, Billy Flanery reported he had been robbed by Johnson. Flanery had cuts, bruising and blood on his face and neck when police contacted him. There was property damage in the bedroom of the home as well.
Flanery described the vehicle as a silver Nissan Sentra with Tennessee plates, the citation states.
Middlesboro Fire Department contacted Bell Dispatch stating they had located the vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the residents where the vehicle was located.
As a result of a search, a debit card and family photos of Flanery were found under the passenger seat of the Nissan, the citation states.
Johnson was also charged with theft of identity of another without consent after allegedly giving deputies the name of Jeffrey J. Daniels upon arrest.
Johnson was held at the Bell County Detention Center.
Other deputies who assisted Gray include Jared Smith and Joel Quillen.
