Harlan celebrated Senior Night by coasting past Lynn Camp 10-0 in five innings on Thursday.


Madison Noe and Anna Karst led the 11-11 Lady Dragons with a double and single each. Taylor Cochran singled twice. Jourdan Ledford had a double. Shanae Thomas, Jesse Cochran and Kaitlin Jenkins added one single each.


Karst and Noe each scored two runs. Kaylee McNiel, Madison Brewer, Thomas, Jesse Cochran, Jenkins and Taylor Cochran scored one each. Karst drove in two runs, while McNiel, Brewer, Alyssa Mills, Jesse Cochran and Taylor Cochran drove in one each.


Brewer earned the win as he struck out five and walked five while pitching a four-hit shutout.


Harlan closes its regular season schedule Friday at Jenkins.

Harlan came from behind to defeat Letcher Central earlier this season at home, but there was no comeback Tuesday in Whitesburg as the Lady Cougars grabbed a 7-0 lead after two innings and coasted to a 12-2 five-inning win.


Letcher pounded out 12 hits and capitalized on eight Harlan errors to dominate the game.


Jourdan Ledford had two of Harlan’s four hits. Madison Noe and Kaitlin Jenkins added one hit each.


Noe suffered the loss as she gave up 12 hits while striking out one and walking one.


The 52nd District Tournament opens Monday at Harlan. Top-seeded Harlan County (15-9) will play fourth-seeded Bell County (2-13) at 5:30. Middlesboro (14-9), seeded second, will play Harlan (11-11), seeded third) at 7:30. The championship game is set for Tuesday at 6.
