Members of the Harlan County High School Gifted Leadership Program joined students at other schools in the Harlan County School District to collect non-perishable food items for the Kentucky State Police Cram the Cruiser event. Students collected food which is distributed by KSP Post 10 in Harlan to homeless shelters and food pantries. This is the third year the leadership students have participated in the program. Here, some members of the group are shown with Trooper Shane Jacobs, public information officer at Post 10 who coordinated the drive in Bell, Harlan and Knox counties. Post 10 won the competition among posts across the state, collecting just shy of 30,000 pounds of food. Leadership program sponsors are Jeanne Ann Lee and Karen Cox.
