Receiving the Fox Family Scholarship during the Harlan County Community Scholarship Banquet was Caleb Bailey, right, a senior at Harlan County High School. Harlan Independent Schools Superintendent C.D. Morton, who emceed the event, presented the award.


Presenting the J. Clark Metcalfe Memorial Scholarship was family member Christian J. Metcalfe, left. Receiving the awards were high school seniors Emily Landis, Harlan County High School, John-Wesley Cooper, Harlan County High School, and Alaina Mavinidis, Harlan High School.


Receiving the East Kentucky Social Club-Lynch Chapter Scholarship during the Harlan County Community Scholarship Banquet was Harlan County High School senior Drayven Gist, right. Presenting the award was EKSC Chapter member Rutland Melton.


Harlan County High School senior Lamborghini Holcomb, right, was presented the Cumberland Lions Club Scholarship by Harlan Independent Schools Superintendent C.D. Morton, who stood in for CLC President Michael Corriston who was unable to attend the event.


Paul Meister, left, Harlan Walmart Manager and executive board member of the Harlan Rotary Club, left, presented the Harlan Rotary Club Scholarship to Harlan County High School senior Lamborghini Holcomb during the annual Harlan County Community Scholarship Banquet held on Thursday. Also receiving a Harlan Rotary Club Scholarship was Kaleb Ryan Enlow, who was unable to attend the event.


Receiving the Harlan County Soil Conservation District Scholarships during the annual Harlan County Community Scholarship Banquet held on Thursday at the Benham School House Inn were from left: HCHS seniors Selena Painter, Haley Cook, HHS seniors Will Slusher, Taylor Ragg, HCHS senior Carson Whitehead Jr. and HHS senior Leah Hollins. Also pictured is Harlan Independent Schools Superintendent C.D. Morton.
