Plans are being finalized for the Coal Country Off-Road Festival on Sept. 26-28 at the Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park.

Jon Grace, director of Adventure Tourism, believes this will be one of the biggest years for the festival and one of the most memorable years for the festival’s haunted trail.

“Barring a catastrophe, I think this will be the best year yet. I highly suggest you go through the trail and see everything,” said Grace.

Grace is expecting nearly 10,000 visitors for this year’s event.

The festival will include ATV trail rides, costume contest, food, ATV vendors, fishing, camping and a live music performance from five local artists as well as a concert from Sundy Best on Sept. 27.

Tickets and wristbands are available for purchase from Ben Barnett’s office at the old Pineville Courthouse, at the off-road park and at the event.
