Another victim airlifted to Vanderbilt

A 69-year-old Harlan County man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Barren County on Wednesday afternoon when two vehicles collided at the intersection of U.S. 68/Ky. 80 and Veterans Outer Loop.

A 1998 Pontiac driven by Katelyn Eversole, 22, of Glasgow, and a 2002 Chevy Tracker driven by David Begley, 51, of Lejunior, collided at the intersection, according to a press release from the Glasgow Police Department.

Delmar Lloyd, of Lejunior, who was in the front passenger seat of the Tracker, was declared dead at the scene.

Frank Hill, of Lejunior, whose age is unknown, was ejected through the rear window. He was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. No information on his condition was available.

Begley and a juvenile passenger were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services. They were both treated and released. The juvenile lives in Edmonton in Metcalfe County, according to the press release.

Eversole was treated and released at T.J. Samson after being transported there by ambulance.

The GPD investigation remains open with assistance from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office.
