A Dayhoit man is facing charges after allegedly selling a Suboxone strip to a cooperating witness.


Chad Collett, 23, was arrested on Thursday by Loyall City Police Chief Mike Lunsford.


According to the complaint, Lunsford said Collett sold one Suboxone strip to a cooperating witness during a drug investigation.


Collett allegedly sold the Suboxone to the informant on Jan. 2, 2013.


Collett was charged with second-degree trafficking a controlled substance.


Collett was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $5,000 full cash bond.


The case is being investigated by Lunsford.


In other police activity, Clyde Daniels, 42, of Smith, was charged with a parole violation by the Office of Probation and Parole on Wednesday.


Daniels was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
