DISTRICT COURT CASES


The following cases have been heard in Harlan District Court:


• Brenda K. Dickerson, giving officer a false name or address and second-degree possession of a controlled substance — guilty on all charges, 90 days in jail probated for 24 months, $200 fine;


• Terry Rigney, theft by deception – dismissed;


• Brian S. Harris, violation of a Kentucky EPO – guilty, 90 days in jail, 60 days probated for 24 months, 30 days to serve;


• Stephanie Marie Bustle, first-degree attempt to promote contraband and second-degree attempt to promote contraband – first-degree attempt to promote contraband dismissed, guilty of second-degree attempt to promote contraband amended to facilitation of promoting contraband, 90 days in jail, probated for 24 months;


• Missy L. Osborne, third-degree trespassing – guilty, $100 fine (court costs waived);


• Larissa Jones, failure to wear seat belt, booster seat violations, rear license not illuminated and failure to produce insurance card – operating on a suspended license and rear license not illuminated dismissed, guilty on remaining charges, $125 total fines (court costs waived);


• Bobby Bush, second-degree wanton endangerment — one day in jail;


• Wilburn Brandon Madon, resident fishing without a license and criminal littering — guilty on all charges, $300 total fine, $133.00 court costs, must perform seven hours community service;


• Brian S. Harris, third-degree criminal mischief, giving officer a false name or address, alcohol intoxication in a public place and first-degree indecent exposure – guilty on all charges, 90 days in jail, 60 days probated for 24 months, 30 days to serve;


• Adam W. Helton, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol - $200 fine, $508 court costs and assessment fee;


• Justin M. Taylor, no registration receipt, no/expired registration plates and failure to produce insurance card – dismissed;


• Jessica L. Combs, failure to wear seat belt – dismissed;


• Bill Witt Jr., failure to produce insurance card and failure of owner to maintain required insurance – dismissed;


• Gill S. Brown, disregarding a traffic control device, failure to wear seat belt and failure to produce insurance card – dismissed;


• Kristie Clutts, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license — $50 fine, (court costs waived);

• Brandon Cloud, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, second-degree fleeing or evading police and failure to wear seat belt — $200 fine, $508 court costs and assessment for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, all other charges dismissed;


• Jacob G. Bentley, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol — $200 fine, $508 court costs and assessment fees;


• James Randall Collett, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief — dismissed;


• Hershel D. Holland, second-degree promoting contraband (two counts), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence – waived to grand jury;


• Jimmy E. Nantz, public intoxication by a controlled substance and first-degree possession of a controlled substance – waived to grand jury;


• James D. Bailey, theft by unlawful taking $10,00 or more – waived to grand jury;
