DISTRICT COURT


The following cases have been heard in Harlan District Court:


• Lance M. Halcomb, speeding 16 mph over limit – amended to speeding 15 mph over limit, $193 total fines and court costs;


• Ashley Massey, careless driving and speeding 12 mph over limit – guilty on careless driving, $25 fine, other charge dismissed (court costs waived);


• Carmella Madden, disregarding stop sign, license to be in possession, failure to produce insurance card and failure of owner to maintain required insurance – guilty on license to be in possession and failure to produce insurance card, $100 total fines, all other charges dismissed (court costs waived);


• Jerry A. Jones, failure to wear seat belt — $25 fine, (court costs waived);


• Andrew Tolliver, speeding 16 mph over limit – amended to improper equipment, guilty, $32 fine (court costs waived);


• Michael R. Johnson, speeding 18 mph over limit, no/expired registration receipt – speeding 18 mph over limit amended to speeding 15 mph over limit, guilty, $30 fine (court costs waived) other charge dismissed;


• Mary L. Bargo, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration receipt, failure to non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card and booster seat violations – guilty on failure to produce insurance card and booster seat violations, $100 total fines, all other charges dismissed (court costs waived);


• Robert W. Grubbs, no/expired registration receipt, no/expired registration plates, failure to produce insurance card and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance – dismissed;


• Danny W. Jones, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card and improper display of registration plates – guilty on failure to produce insurance card, $50 fine, all other charges dismissed (court costs waived);


• Larry W. Couch, failure to wear seat belt – dismissed;


• Josh N. Pace, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration receipt, failure of non-owner operator to maintain insurance and failure to produce insurance card – dismissed;


• Ralph D. Simpson, speeding 22 mph over limit – dismissed;


• Kenneth R. Noe, speeding 16 mph over limit – dismissed;


• Robert L. Dillman Jr., no/expired registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card and failure of owner to maintain required insurance, dismissed;


• Shawna D. Shelton, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, failure of non-owner operator to maintain insurance and license to be in possession – dismissed;


• Mark D. Saylor, no/expired registration plates and no/expired registration receipt – dismissed;


• Karlie A. Curry, speeding 15 mph over limit – guilty, $30 fine (court costs waived);


• Jeremiah J. Stephens, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registrations receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card, display of illegal/altered registration, disregarding signals from officers directing traffic, instructional permit violations, failure to comply with helmet law and unapproved eye protective device – guilty on failure to produce insurance card, display of illegal/altered registration and disregarding signals from officers directing traffic, $150 total fines (court costs waived) all other charges dismissed;


• Carmella Madden, speeding 15 mph over limit, failure to produce insurance card, failure or owner to maintain required insurance and improper equipment – guilty on failure to produce insurance card and improper equipment, $100 total fines (court costs waived) all other charges dismissed;


• Teresa Middleton, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration receipt and license to be in possession – dismissed;


• Cornelius Stamper, failure to wear seat belt (two counts) – dismissed;


• Christopher Scott Robbins, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol and no operator’s/moped license, guilty, $758 total fines and fees;


• Milford D. Brock Jr., careless driving, improper start from parked position, inadequate silencer (muffler) excessive windshield/window tinting and obstructed vision and/or windshield – obstructed vision and/or windshield dismissed, guilty on all other charges, $100 total fines (court costs waived);


• Derek F. Cook, speeding 20 mph over limit – dismissed;


• Brian C. Hensley, no/expired registration plates and no/expired registration receipt – dismissed;


• Emily J. Haynes, no/expired registration receipt and no/expired registration plates – dismissed;


• Richard M. Anglian, no/expired registration receipt and no/expired registration plates – dismissed;
