A Harlan man is facing a burglary charge after allegedly taking approximately $2,000 from an apartment.

David Carmack, 46, was arrested by Harlan City Police Officer Mike Boggs on Tuesday.

According to the complaint, police received a complaint that upon returning to his apartment after being arrested by immigration, Pancho Bautista discovered approximately $2,000 missing from his apartment.

The complaint states video surveillance of the apartment shows Carmack entering the apartment on two separate occasions.

The complaint further states that Carmack was known to be spending a lot of money recently. After being read his Miranda rights, Carmack admitted to entering the apartment with a key and taking the money. Carmack provided a written statement admitting his actions.
