Harlan County clinched the top seed in next week’s 52nd District Tournament and a rematch with fourth-seeded Bell County with a 12-1 win over the Lady Cats on Tuesday at Bell County.

Kaitlyn Stittums led the 15-9 Lady Bears with a double and two singles. Destinee Jenkins singled three times. Savannah Sergent and Jessie Johnson each added a double and single. Tia King and Mallory Johnson each singled twice. Farren Clark, Chyanna Harris and Amber Creech each singled once.

Jenkins pitched a four-hitter for the win with six strikeouts and three walks.

Harlan County edged Pineville 5-4 on Friday. the Lady Bears were led by a double and single each from Sergent and Stittums. Jenkins and Mallory Johnson singled twice each. Jessie Johnson doubled. Clark, Bridget Robinson and Harris added one single each.

Jenkins earned the win as she struck out five and walked four.

Erica Gambrell led Pineville with a homer and single.

Letcher Central blew open a close game with four runs in each the fifth and sixth innings to defeat the Lady Bears 10-4 on Saturday.

Clark and Mallory Johnson led the Lady Bears with two singles each. Jessie Johnson and Stittums added one single each.

Harlan County travels to Whitley County on Thursday and plays host to Hazard on Friday.
