Alice Jean Farley, 55, of Verda, passed from this life Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Harlan ARH Hospital. A lifelong resident of Harlan County, Alice was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Birtha Blevins; a brother, Harvey Blevins; and three sisters, Bessie Gross, Mary Hughes and Georgia Blevins.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jim Glen Farley, of Verda; a son, Tony Blevins and wife Gunilla, of Wallins; one granddaughter, Gracie Blevins; three brothers, Elbert Blevins, Tremont; Sampson Blevins and Homer Blevins, both of Evarts; and a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Blevins.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 pm Wednesday at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Evarts Funeral Home with the Rev. David Napier and the Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating.
Burial will follow at Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
