Billy Wayne Thompson, 55, of Kenvir, passed away October 28, 2009 at home. He was born July 18, 1954 in Harlan, Ky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cordia Rowe; sisters, Barbara “Bobbie” Cornett and Faye Rowe Suttles; uncle, Melvin Rowe; and a nephew, Bobby Ray Rowe.

Survivors include his brothers, Jack Rowe (Bonnie), of Ratliff, Ky., Ray Rowe (Francine), of Harlan, Ky., Walt Rowe, of Atlanta, Ga., Henry Canady, of Harlan, Ky., L.B. Canady, (Nancy), of Frankfort, Ky., and Terry Rowe, of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Louise Schrader, of Frankfort, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
