Cloa Daniel Whitehead, 96, formerly of Wallins, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 17, 2012, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehab. Born July 12, 1916 in Wallins, she had lived here most of her life. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cloa believed in the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Theodore Whitehead; her parents, Lloyd Daniel and Ellie Osborne Daniel; two sons, Lloyd Whitehead and Paul Douglas Whitehead; two grandsons, Gary Steven Whitehead and Gregory Whitehead; three sisters; and six brothers.

Survivors include three sons, Gary Whitehead and wife, Pat, Richmond, KY; T.J. Whitehead and wife, Iris, Dover, KY; Robert Eugene Whitehead and wife, Tammy, Stanton, KY; two daughters-in-law, Jewel Whitehead, Hillsboro, OH and Jenny Whitehead, Maysville, KY. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Vickie Lee, Timothy Whitehead, Rhonda Ackley, Jeff Whitehead, Connie Woodard, Angela Moore, Robbie Whitehead, Steven Whitehead and Christopher Whitehead; 15 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from 11 am until 1 pm at the Loyall Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Park Howard Cemetery at Wallins with the Reverend Eli Craig and the Reverend Freeman Clark officiating.

Her grandsons, grandsons-in-law and great-grandson will serve as pallbearers.
