Kentucky State Police trooper Walt Szczepan responded to an 18-wheeler coal truck wreck Thursday off KY 38 near Coxton.

Szczepan said the driver, Glenn Paul, 54, of Williamsburg, was traveling westbound on KY 38 when he allegedly stopped the vehicle and exited to put a tarp over the bed of the truck when the vehicle began to move. Szczepan said only the vehicle’s hand brake was applied while the driver was out of the truck. Szczepan said the vehicle came to a stop off of the road after it struck several trees.

No one was injured in the crash.
