The following cases have been heard in Harlan District Court, Judge Jeff Brock presiding.

Bryan C. Robbins, 33, failure to wear seat belt, expired or no registration plate, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle — continued for arraignment.

Teddy King Jr., 31, license to be in possession, failure to produce insurance card, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set July 31.

Tony Lamb, 33, license plate not illuminated, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Nov. 27.

Betty J. Johnson, 32, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, expired or no registration plate, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, failure to produce insurance card, failure to wear seat belt — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Nov. 27.

Jonathan Williams, 31, failure to wear seat belt, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, no brake lights (passenger vehicles), vehicle a nuisance, noisy, etc. — first two charges, pleaded guilty, fined $50 (court costs waived); third charge, dismissed due to negative lab results; other charges dismissed.

Danny Brown, 41, second-offense driving under the influence of alcohol/ drugs, expired or no registration plate, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, license to be in possession — first charge, pleaded guilty, fined $858, operator’s license suspended 12 months and sentenced to seven days in jail and driving school; other charges dismissed.

Philip A. Fields, 38, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, reckless driving, improper registration plate, improper display of registration plate, failure to wear seat belt, no operator’s/moped license, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Nov. 27.

Victoria Sullivan, 23, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to use child restraint device in vehicle — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Nov. 27.

Jason L. Maggard, 33, failure to wear seat belt, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security — continued for arraignment.

Nelson Brock, 35, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), two counts of buying/ possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, controlled substance prescription not in original container — waived to grand jury.

Sara Brock, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), first-degree possession of a controlled substance — waived to grand jury.

Deavon J. Polly, 21, third-degree trafficking a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), controlled substance prescription not in original container — waived to grand jury (bond set at 10 percent of $6,000).

Jane Hatmaker, 44, trafficking marijuana (8 ounces or less, first offense) — failed to appear for hearing (bond set at $1,00 cash).

Laura A. Dean, 42, third-degree criminal trespassing — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Dec. 18.

Kennita C. Barrett, 33, receiving stolen property (under $500) — pretrial conference continues Aug. 13.

Tommy Turner, 30, second-degree criminal mischief, menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Dec. 18.

Kimberly A. Wilder, 47, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol), third-degree trafficking a controlled substance, buying/possession of drug paraphernalia — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Dec. 4.

Dewey Peggs Jr., 37, third-degree terroristic threatening — pretrial conference set Aug. 13.

Roger W. Sizemore, 33, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence with no visible injury) — amended to disorderly conduct, pleaded guilty, fined $50 (court costs waived).

Johnny A. Jenkins, 23, two counts of receiving stolen property (under $500), two counts of obscuring the identity of a machine (under $500) — pleaded guilty, sentenced to 12 months in jail (to serve 30 days with remaining time probated 24 months on conditions).

Andrea D. Callahan, 31, operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator’s license, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt, failure to wear seat belt, obstructed vision and/or windshield — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Aug. 21.

Steven Parrott, 31, theft by deception (under $500) — dismissed on restitution.

Denver Simpson, 33, making false statement to prevent/reduce benefits — dismissed on agreement.

Julie Pendleton, 41, fourth-degree assault (no visible injury) — pleaded not guilty, jury trial set Oct. 16.

Megan L. Curry, 17, speeding (26 or more miles per hour over the limit), expired or no registration plate, expired or no Kentucky registration receipt — continued for arraignment.

Oakley Gray, 52, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs — pleaded guilty, fined $708, operator’s license suspended 30 days and sentenced to driving school.
