Everett Blevins, 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Ages, passed away on October 28, 2009. Born August 6, 1942, he was one of nine children born to Burley Blevins and Odie Crider Saylor of Ages.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Steven Harley Blevins.

Survivors include his wife, Leota Spencer Blevins, Jacksonville; two children, Daphney Blevins-Cannon, Tazewell, TN; Gregory Blevins and wife, Nicole, MacClenny, FL; three grandchildren, Heather Geiger and husband, Bryan, Jacksonville; Lee Blevins, Jacksonville; Lonnie Cannon III, Tazewell, TN; and one great-grandchild, Lauren Geiger, Jacksonville.

Also surviving are three brothers, Vollie Blevins and wife, Phyllis, West Palm Beach, FL; Harley Blevins and wife, Olivia, Kadez, KY; Lewis Blevins, Harlan; five sisters, Wanda Morgan and husband, Richard, Columbus, GA; Barbara Pace, Ashland, OH; Thelma Blevins, Ages; Bernice Cook and husband, Gary, Ages; Judy Howard and husband, Bill, Harlan; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the North Evarts Baptist Church with the Rev. David Napier officiating.
