Already leading 5-0, Harlan sent 17 batters to the plate in the top of the fourth, scoring 13 runs and pounding out eight hits. The Dragons also took advantage of four Pineville errors, two walks and a hit batsman.
Josh Howard got the inning started by drawing a leadoff walk. Shea Moody followed with an RBI single, and Brent Vannatter pushed the lead to 8-0 with a double to center field.
Patrick Bell also doubled to center, driving in a run, and Preston Jones singled to shortstop.
Jeremy Halcomb followed with deep fly ball to center that bounced midway up the outfield fence, plating two more runs to make it a 10-0 lead.
Jon Graham and John Smith hit back-to-back RBI singles, and two runs scored on consecutive Pineville errors. Halcomb finally capped the scoring with his third and fourth RBI of the inning, driving in two with a single up the right side of the infield. Chris Hale got Graham to pop up to first to finally end the inning.
The eight-hit barrage fueled Harlan's 12-hit attack. Halcomb led the Dragons with a double, two singles and five RBI. Moody finished with three singles, driving in three runs. Jones singled twice, Ball and Vannatter each doubled and Graham and Smith each singled.
Smith (2-0) picked up the win, going three innings in the start. Randy Blakley pitched two innings in relief. Each gave up a single while combining for 10 strikeouts.
Smith allowed a single to Nick Patrick in the first inning and Blakley gave up Hale's single in the fifth. Smith struck out six and Blakley finished with four strikeouts.
Harlan (3-1) advances to the tournament quarterfinals to take on Evarts today at Cawood. Pineville (0-1) will visit Cumberland on Thursday.

Leslie County raced to a 15-0 lead after two innings Monday and coasted to a five-inning win over the visiting Eagles.
The Eagles spoiled Frank Middleton's pitching debut, scoring 11 runs against the senior right-hander in one-plus inning of work. Logan Napier allowed four runs in one inning. Chris Soloe, a senior right-hander, pitched two shutout innings for the Wildcats.
Middleton, Jacob Monhollen, Shawn Hoskins and Benji Thomas each had singles for the Wildcats. Hoskins drove in two runs and Bryant added one RBI.
Burton hit a three-run homer in the first inning to get the Eagles off to a good start. Roberts was the winning pitcher.
Evarts (0-2) returns to action Tuesday against Harlan in the All "A" Classic quarterfinals at Cawood.
