She was born August 30, 1929 in Whitley County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Arthur Canady and Susie Hamblin Canady. She was 78 years, 6 months and 29 days of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rains; her father, Arthur Franklin Canady; sisters, Dorothy Wynn and Betty Penix; brothers, L.B. Canady and Bobby Eugene Canady; and her son, Larry Arthur Mullins.
She is Survived by her four children, Glenda Stillman Fields of Knoxville, Tennessee, Bobby Neal Rains and his wife Amanda of Sparta, Tennessee, Betty Carol Roberts and her husband Jimmy of Knoxville, Tennessee and Margaret Rose Mullins of Knoxville, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; her mother, Susie Canady of Williamsburg, Kentucky; five sisters, Geneva Froedge of Indianapolis, Indiana, Wilma Gross and her husband Jerry of London, Kentucky, Mary Ann Garrett and her husband Roger of Williamsburg, Kentucky Ruth Coffey and her husband Earl of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Wanda Barton of London, Kentucky; two brothers, Lloyd Canady and his wife Mickey of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Jack Canady and his wife Carolyn of Indianapolis; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home on Monday, March 31, 2008 after 6:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Sester and Rev. Mike Wynn will be officiating.
Burial will be at the Highland Cemetery in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
