The Harlan Green Dragons will likely be more than happy to put their time in McCreary County behind them. The Dragons suffered their third straight loss in the Arby’s/KFC Classic at McCreary Central with a 66-50 loss to Daniville on Friday.
The Green Dragons were tied at 25 at the half, but faded in the final two quarters. Danville (2-5) outscored Harlan 41-25 in the second half to pull away for the win.
Freshman Drew Parks paced the Green Dragons with 13 points, while Nathan Young added 12 points.
In previously unreported action, Harlan was defeated 83-52 by Pulaski Southwestern in the first round of the Arby’s/KFC Holiday Classic, and dropped a close contest 52-50 against Grayson County.
Harlan (3-9) will conclude tournament play today, against Pickett County, Tenn. at 2:30 p.m.
