Just wanted to say Hay to my uncles Ronnie and Clarence Longworth. I miss you guys, it has been a long time since I have been to Harlan, and I miss everthing about it... :)
I think there are multiple reasons for readers not using this site. It is placed under the big lettered word Contest, Guestbook is written in small print. It is located in the middle of the page surrounded by advertizement. I think, if there was a spot near the top of the page to click on we would see a lot more activity. I miss reading the comments, especially those from former residents who have moved away from Harlan County.
Why doesn't anyone use this guestbook any more? Seems like it would be an excellent way to get information around the community quickly. Or does everyone use facebook for that? What are your thoughts on this?

Ann Wilson, thank you very much for the update on Joy and Buddy Turner and George Norton. I am going to try to contact Buddy, as I live about 30 miles from Paw Paw, MI.
Your brother John Dee was one of my teachers at Green Hills School. Those were good old days.
I grew up in Bledsoe, KY, attended Pine Mountain and Loyall High School and Bledsoe Baptist Church. My mother, Nan, and Lola Robinson were good friends so I have maintained contact with Buddy Turner and George Norton throughout the years. Buddy is the pastor of a church in Paw Paw, MI and George lives in Indiana. I see them occasionally at reunions. Unfortunately, Joy Turner, Buddy's sister, passed away several years ago.
