Friday morning’s blowing snow adds to the festive appearance of this approximately 75-foot tall tree which has been lit for the Christmas season at James A. Cawood Elementary School. The tree is arguably the tallest decorated in the county for the 2012 holiday season.

Harlan County School District Maintenance Director Johnnie Turner, right, and employee Joe Evans work to decorate the large tree for the Christmas season outside James A. Cawood Elementary School on Wednesday. The tree has been lit for the holiday season by a generous donor.
