Jeremy William Maggard, 26, of Wallins, departed this life Thursday, November 5, 2009. He was known by many as “Ole Man”. Jeremy was born in Hamilton, Ohio and had lived in Harlan County nearly all of his life. He believed in the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Odie and Sam Pittman; Kathleen Wooton; and Dora Maggard.

Survivors include his wife, Candice Couch Maggard, Wallins; his parents, Rev. George and Nancy Maggard, Wallins, Rosetta Chandler, Baxter; a sister, Mary Ellen Saylor, Wallins; three brothers, Joshua Maggard, Wallins; Michael Dietz, Hamilton, OH; and Samuel McPeek, Corbin.

Visitation will be from 6 – 9 pm Saturday at Loyall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Sunday at Loyall Funeral Home with the Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating.

Burial will follow at the Park Howard Cemetery at Wallins. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Branham, Nicholas Daniels, Jeremy Thomas, Douglas Maggard, Cody Bargo, Jeremy Mefford, Presley Saylor, Brady Taylor and Mark Ward.
