Mrs. Kyla Jones, 96, of Harlan, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 17, 2007. She was a native of Harlan County, and was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Kyla believed in the Baptist faith and had membership with and attended the Sunshine Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: Leonard Carroll and Noble Jones; her parents, Aaron Thomas and Mary Mitchell Thomas; and by three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Sue and Glen Pursiful, Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren, Carol and Mike Rouse; and Brent and Susan Pursiful; four great-grandchildren, Ashley and Alan Cain, Jason Pursiful, Dr. Matthew Rouse and Kelly Rouse; and one great-great-grandchild, Mason Cain.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John D. Lambert officiating.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with randsons and family friendsserving as pallbearers.

Harlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
