Only two games into the season, the Cumberland Lady Skins already appear to be in midseason form.
The visiting Lady Skins pounded out 13 hits and rolled to a 14-0 victory in five innings over Evarts on Thursday.
Two pitchers combined to hold the Lady Cats hitless. Junior Kelsey Day (1-1) fanned eight and walked two in three innings. Sophomore Samantha Sexton pitched the final two innings, striking out one.
Day led Cumberland (1-1) at the plate with three doubles. Natasha Pennington, Colleen Boggs and Ashley Reynolds each singled twice. Sexton, Shawna Short, Jenny Clay and Kendra Russell added a single apiece.
