Luria Mae (Angel) Morris King of Cumberland entered into eternal life Monday, June 11, 2012, being 70 years 10 months and 11 days. She died at her home after battling a long illness. She was born August 22, 1941 to Greene and Luria Allen Morris. Her mother died when she was five days old and her father died when she was five years old. She was raised and loved like a daughter by her sister, Beulah, and late husband, Charlie Collier. Angel was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved her husband and her two sons with a love that supersedes life itself. She enjoyed being outside and working in her flower garden. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School and the University of Kentucky. She had recently retired from Mubea, Inc. in Florence, KY and returned home to Cumberland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Greene and Luria Allen Morris and Charlie Collier; her brothers, Edward Morris and wife, Maxie, Ernie Morris and wife, Ethel, Denver Morris and wife, Edna, Walker Morris, Babe Morris, infant brothers, Worlie Morris and Charlie Morris; a sister, Thelma Morris Fields; and a sister-in-law, Alice Morris, wife of J.C. Morris.

She leaves to mourn her death a loving husband of 46 years, Terry King, of Cumberland; sons, Sean King, of Georgetown and Ian King, of Dry Ridge; sister, Beulah Collier, of Cumberland; brothers, Hollie Morris and wife, Ethel, of Cumberland, and J.C. Morris of Michigan City, IN; sister-in-laws, Beulah Morris, wife of the late Walker Morris, of Michigan City, IN and Charlotte Morris, wife of the late Babe Morris, of London; Beulah and Charlie’s children, whom she loved as her own brothers and sister, C.W. Collier and wife, Carolyn, of Richmond, Ronnie Collier of Cumberland, Jimmy Collier and wife, Henrietta, of Cumberland, Greg Collier and wife, Angie, of Richmond, Roger Collier and wife, Vera, of Cumberland, and Melissa Collier of Kingsport, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing.

John Shannon Carmichael, Sammy Joe Clark, Jason Eldridge, Matthew Fields, Allen Morris, and Hollie Morris, Jr. will serve as pallbearers for the services.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14, 2012, in the chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home between 6 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, at 2 pm in the chapel with the Reverend Garland Sergent and the Reverend John Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery at Hiram, KY.
