Joshua T. Dunson, 28, is charged with second-degree rape, prostitution and first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
According to a citation prepared by Cumberland City Police Department Sgt. Silas Whitehead, Dunson stated he gave the woman four Lortab pills to have sex with him. The woman came to the Cumberland police station claiming she was raped by Dunson.
Whitehead stated that the woman was transported to Harlan ARH Hospital for sexual assault testing.
Dunson was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center with bond set at $25,000.
In other police news:
-- Jesse Hubert Brock, 27, and William C. Cox, 18, both of Loyall, were charged with theft by unlawful taking of property valued over $300.
According to warrants, Brock and Cox took approximately 800 pounds of aluminum from Fred Hensley's yard and sold it to Travis Whitaker.
Brock and Cox were arrested on the warrants by Kentucky State Police trooper Bryan Johnson and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
-- Joni Elizabeth Chasteen, 24, of Pathfork, was arrested on a warrant by Harlan County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Mike Lunsford for probation violation.
-- Curtis Nathaniel Cook, 49, was arrested by Whitehead on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
-- Jimmy Daniels, 40, of Pathfork, was arrested on a warrant by deputy Derrick Noe on charges of receiving stolen property over $300 and receiving stolen property under $300.
It is alleged that Daniels possessed copper belonging to CSX. He was lodged in jail with bond set at 10 percent of $5,000.
-- Tony Randall Harris, 29, was arrested on a probation violation warrant.
-- Christopher R. Huff, 25, of Cumberland, is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception over $300 and failure to appear.
He was arrested on an indictment warrant by deputy Joey Vicini with bond set at $20,000.
-- Kevin Mack Shepherd, 33, of Baxter, was arrested on a warrant by KSP trooper Rob Farley on a charge of second-degree assault.
The warrant alleges that Shepherd assaulted Catise Latham with a glass vase on her hand and the back of her head during an argument. Shepherd was allegedly intoxicated during the incident.
