She was born July 20, 1919 in Pellyton. She was a retired school teacher having taught in the Central Kentucky area. She was a member of the Campbellsville First United Methodist Church but had attended the Benham First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas Lemmon and Ollie Mae Pelly Lemmon; her husband, the Rev. Thomas Nankivell; and a son, Phillip Edward Nankivell.
Survivors include two children: Teresa Osborne and husband, Mitchell, of Bledsoe; Carl Nankivell, of Louisville; one sister, Dora Davis, of Campbellsville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Benham United Methodist Church and from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Pellyton Community Cemetery in Pellyton.
