Pauline Nunley Pruitt, 72, of Evarts, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home. Pauline was born August 31, 1939 in Grundy County, Tennessee, but had lived here most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Victory Baptist Church.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Ellene Campbell Nunley and Richard Douglas Nunley; a daughter, Tahiti Lynn Pruitt; and one brother, James Nunley.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Pruitt, Evarts; three children, Kimberly Hatfield, Stanfill, KY; Tabatha Wood, Knoxville, TN; and Stacey Moore and husband, Ricky, Putney, KY; two brothers, Richard Nunley, Chicago, IL; Norman Nunley, Texas; five sisters, Grace Tomlinson, Evarts; Christine Wirth, Tennessee; May Wanda Hatfield, Evarts; Debora Scissom, Evarts; and Imogene Kelly, Evarts. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kyle and Katie Hatfield, Brandi and Cody Wood and Mariah Edens and husband, Greg, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 5 until 7 PM at the Victory Baptist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 7 PM with the Reverends Rodney Freeman and William Kelly officiating.

Interment services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 AM in Harlan County Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
