Polly Guthrie, 58, of Kenvir passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, at her home following a long illness. Born January 20, 1954, she had lived at Kenvir most of her life. A graduate of Evarts High School, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren. She attended the Evarts Pentecostal Church.

Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Merthell Adkins Barnes and Arthur Barnes; and a sister, Evelyn Martin.

Survivors include her husband of over 39 years, Glenn Guthrie, Kenvir; two sons, Jeff Guthrie and wife, Tara, Louisville, TN; Josh Guthrie and wife, Kristin, Kenvir; two sisters, Joyce Gilbert, Sweetwater, TN; Barbara Napier and husband, Bobby, Coulterville, IL; six grandchildren, Roman, Emma, Summer, Jama, James and Emily; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Mike Guthrie and Bobby Napier officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
