Ralph North, 59, of Lawnvale went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2012 at his residence. He worked as a mechanic for Croushorn Equipment for several years and enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren; they were the joy of his life. He also enjoyed NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his father, George North; and one son, Kenneth Ray North.

Ralph is survived by one daughter, America North Alred and husband, Jonathan, Baxter; his mother, Leona Sizemore North, Coldiron; one brother, Tommy Wayne North and wife Sherry, Coldiron; three sisters, Judy Carmical and husband Barry, Coldiron; Beaulah Hoskins and husband Danny, Straight Creek and Darlene Vanover and husband Kris, Lily, KY; five grandchildren, Anthony North, J. T. Alred, Kendra and Keely North and Coty Alred.

Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, Phillip Cornett; and Jack Thomas and wife, Vanessa.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the chapel of Harlan Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Carmical officiating.

Burial will follow in the Harlan County Memorial Gardens at Fresh Meadows.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
