Marty Valania speaks with Harlan area business professionals during the Create.Connect.Promote Seminar held Tuesday evening. The event was sponsored by the Harlan Daily Enterprise and the Harlan County Chamber of Commerce. Valania, who has more than 20 years of professional experience in print and online publishing, shared ways for participants to increase their online presence to help boost business. One analogy used is that customers no longer use Yellow Pages to find needed services — they log on to the Internet. The free seminar was held at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College’s Harlan campus.
