Tammy Miracle, 47, of Travelers Rest, S.C., formerly of Harlan County, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 after battling a short illness. She is preceded in death by her mother Georgia J. Simpson and he father Hobert Miracle.

She is survived by three children: Melissa Griffey, of Brookesville, Fla., Christopher Griffey and wife Terri, of Harlan, Ky., and Brian Miller, of Coldiron, Ky.; eight grandchildren: Jasmine, Heavenly, Michah, Mathew, Dillion, Brian Allen, Joshua and Leland.

Other survivors include five brothers: Hobert Miracle Jr. and wife Joyce, of Coldiron, Ky., John Miracle, of Wallins, Ky., Ellis Miracle and wife Carla, of Loyall, Ky., Alton Miracle, of Loyall, Ky., and Jack Miracle and wife Rebecca, of Greer, S.C.; one sister, Buffy Williams, of Baxter, Ky.; a very dear friend, Joseph Duncan, of Travelers Rest, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews and family and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Church of God in Coldiron with burial in the Russell Family Cemetery.
