The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event was held Saturday at Huff Park in Harlan. Hundreds gathered to honor those battling cancer and remember those who lost their fight. To kick off the event, survivors walked a lap around the walking track with Miss Harlan County Brooklyn Woods participating. A parade of teams followed the survivor’s lap. Luminaries can seen in memory and honoring those who have and are battling cancer.
