She was born February 23, 1939. She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Edna Hill; a brother, Delnoe Hill; and three sisters: Mary Mills, Reva Mae Hill and Jeane Hill.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Richard Stewart, of Little Creek; eight children: Alben Stewart and wife, Imogene, of Putney; Richard Lynn Stewart and wife, Helen, of Cawood; Rita Swanson and husband, Franklin, of Gulston; Caroline Grubbs and husband, Garfield, of Cawood; Alice Phillips and husband, Donnie, of Cawood; Elisa Miracle and husband, Kelly, of Harrogate, TN; Tina Brock and husband, Rocky, of Harrogate, TN; and Mary Ann Noe and husband, Edmond, of Smith; 13 grandchildren: April Blevins; Wanda Geran and husband, Ryan; Winston Stewart; Franklin Swanson and wife, Kelly; Jason Swanson and friend, Ashley Masterson; James Grubbs and wife, Crystal; Lisa Grubbs; Joe Farmer and wife, Tiria; Dustin Farmer; Meghan Brock; Kimber Noe; Dalisa Noe and Josh Stewart; 15 great-grandchildren: Scarlett and Adam Blevins; Noah Geran; Destiny, Aiden and Logan Swanson; Jasmine, Courtney and Emma Grubbs; Heaven Miller; Lexie, Shalee and Gabby Farmer; Tom and John Cox Jr.; three brothers: Monroe Hill Jr., of Cawood; Kenneth Hill and wife, Lorene, of Cawood; and Herman Hill and wife, Virgie, of Lenarue; two sisters: Joyce Hill, of Bristol, VA; and Linda Sue Brown and husband, Terry, of Harrogate, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews and the Pace Chapel Church of Smith.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 6, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. James Willard Pope officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stewart Family Cemetery of Little Creek.
Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
