Billy was born July 10, 1941 at Smith, KY to the late Asher and Odia Neff Green. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and believed in the Baptist Faith. He proudly served his Country as a Veteran of the United States Army
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Green and sister, Gladys Vanhorn.
He is survived by his wife Rae June Worley Green; daughters, Kathy Green, Billie Rae Dean, Thresa Dougherty, and JoAnn Cottrell; brothers, Lester Green and Ted Green; grandchildren, Aaron Hensley, Whitney Dougherty, and Chris Cottrell; great-great grandchildren, Brionna and Jamison Cottrell; he leaves several nieces, nephews other relatives to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday Dec. 7, 2012 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones chapel with Rev. Josh Hensley.
Visitation will be Friday Dec. 7, 2012 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home after 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
Burial will follow in the Green Cemetery at Smith with Military Honors being provided by the Harlan Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the National Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of Billy.
