Opal was born July 11, 1932 in Bell Co., KY to the late Danny and Bertha Green Cupp. She was a homemaker and member of Pace Chapel. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a blessing to all who knew her. Her most Treasured Possessions in life was God and Family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Middleton; son, Danny Middleton; infant daughter, Mary Lynn Middleton; step daughter, Frankie Johnson; son in law, Mark Spurlock and several siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Imogene (Ronnie) Wilder of Waterford, MI, Bud (Cathy) Middleton of Smith, Sharon (H.B.) Wilder of Clarkston, MI, Dianne Spurlock of Smith, and Susan (Johnny) Engle of Smith; 14 grandchildren, Melanie Lizotte, Ryan Wilder, Jamie Middleton, Julie Atherton, Kristy Bills, Melissa Wilder, Kayla Ball, Neil Engle, Eric Middleton, David Middleton, Courtney Allen, Darrell Saylor, Debbie Lucas, Paul Mark Spurlock, and Stephen Spurlock; 15 great grandchildren, including her namesake Elizabeth Larene Ball for whom brought Opal her greatest Joy in her last days; 3 sisters, Kathleen Burke, Lois Pruitt, and Shirley Cupp; she leaves other relatives to mourn her passing. Special thanks to all of her caregivers including current ones, Jenny, Tina, Barb, Darlene, Jessica, and her hospice team, Jim, Gayle, Madonna, and Mary whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday Jan. 26, 2013 from 5 – 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home and after 11:30 am until the funeral hour on Sunday at Pace Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Sunday Jan. 27, 2013 at the Pace Chapel, Smith with Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating.
Burial will follow in the Middleton Cemetery at Smith.
