The Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park will play host to the Bluegrass on the Mountain Festival today, and organizers say the festival will go on, rain or shine.
Music will begin at 1 p.m. and continue late into the evening. The concert and event area will be about two miles past the trailhead bridge on the right.
The event is headlined by bluegrass singer Ricky Skaggs. It will also feature local talent including Common Strings, Tazewell Pike, Crosspoint, Crossroads Gospel Bluegrass Band and children of the Cumberland River Music Academy.
Tickets to the concert/event area are $20 for adults, $5 for kids age 6-16 and children under five get in free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate the day of the concert. Food vendors will be available at the event site.
