An Evarts woman is facing a charge of wanton endangerment following an incident involving gunfire Sunday.Margaret Shaw, 39, of Evarts, was arrested by Kentucky State Trooper Kenneth Sergent after an argument led to shots being fired.
According to the citation, Shaw went to the residence of Karen Shope and became involved in an argument with her. Shaw was asked to leave several times. Shopes’ 17-year-old son then walked outside with a shotgun.
The citation states the juvenile discharged the shotgun into the ground and then started fighting with Shaw’s juvenile son. Shaw then picked up the shotgun and pointed it at Shope and her son. Shaw then discharged the gun into the ground four times, threw the gun down and left the property. Shope has several no trespassing signs posted at her residence.
Shaw was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree criminal trespassing.Shaw was transported to the Harlan County Detention Center.

* Billy Glen Dixon, 49, was arrested Saturday by Sergent on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment .
According to the citation, Billy Joe Dixon stated on April 11, Billy Glen Dixon wantonly engaged in conduct which created substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Billy Joe Dixon and his family. Billy Glen Dixon allegedly shot a gun multiple times as Billy Joe Dixon and his family were going into their home, placing them in danger.
Dixon was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $20,000 full cash bond;
* Heather Stidham, 27, of Harlan, was arrested Sunday by Harlan County Sheriff’s Deputy Mitch Alford on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second degree trafficking a controlled substance and first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
Stidham was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on full cash bonds totalling $15,000.
