Crews from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet worked late Monday to clear a large slide that blocked KY 38 near Kildav. Crews responded quickly to clear one lane of the highway to allow emergency traffic to pass. When contacted for an update on road conditions Tuesday night, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Dispatcher Hollace Wilson reported that another mudslide occurred on Pine Mountain and the road was temporarily closed. Wilson advised people to be mindful of the road conditions as a result of the heavy rain. He stressed that caution should be used in areas prone to sliding and those with high embankments. Also, the rain was creating ponding on highways across the county.
