The Harlan County Lady Bears got back to their winning ways with a straight set victory over visiting Knott Central on Tuesday.

Cara Middleton had four points, two tips and two kills to lead the Lady Bears to a 25-11 win in the first set. Keisha Mimes added three points, two kills, one dig and an ace. Whitney Stevens contributed five points and three aces. Breanna Dunson recorded two points, one tip and one kill. Rebecca Eldridge had two points and an ace, and Chyanna Harris added one point and one kill.

Eldridge had eight points and an ace to lift Harlan County to a 25-13 win in the second set. Mimes added three points, two kills and two aces. Harris contributed two aces, one dig and one tip. Dunson had one tip and one point, and Stevens added one point.

The Lady Bears won 21-17, 21-17 in the junior varsity contest. Charleigh Mefford paced Harlan County with five points, two kills and a dig in the two sets. Katelyn Reynolds had four points, one ace, one dig and a kill. Lauren Lee recorded three tips, one ace and one point. Candice Huff contributed two points, one dig and one ace, while Cellina Hatmaker added two points and one ace.

Harlan County fell 12-17, 14-17 in the freshman match.

Salina Painter had seven points, one ace and one tip in the two sets. Sabrina Simpson recorded four points. Keirstian Hall contributed one point and one spike, and Tarolynn Burkhart and Marya Caldwell each added one point.

Harlan County (6-4) returns to district action Tuesday at home against Middlesboro. Knott Central (4-7) will host Piarist.
