Staff Report
Harlan City Police Sgt. George Young arrested and lodged David Simpson, 24 of Loyall, in the Harlan County Detention Center at approximately 3:42 a.m. on Friday. Simpson was arrested on a fugitive warrant for alleged offenses out of Bell County for first-degree sodomy, victim less that 12 years of age.
Other charges include first-degree criminal abuse, child 12 year old or under, 2 counts of persistent felony offender, first-degree rape, second-degree robbery and non-payment of $1,321 in fines. No bond has been set in this case.
Young was able to locate Simpson at a residence in Harlan after receiving information as to his whereabouts.
Assisting Young in this arrest was Harlan Police Officer Britt Ross and Harlan County sheriff deputies Dee Dee Ulbrich and Matt Cope.
