A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday at the new Harlan County 4-H Annex in Harlan. The annex was dedicated to the Rev. Robert and Elaine Landis, loyal supporters of the extension service for 50 years. A plaque was presented to the couple in appreciation of their service to Harlan and Leslie counties and other areas across the state as well. Pictured are Harlan County Extension staff, district board members and supporters. Out of town guests included Leo and Gayle Bartolo, of Knox County, and Brian Lewis, of Lewis Brothers Inc. in Viper, who was the general contractor for the new building.
