Kentucky State Police have arrested a Harlan man on a burglary charge stemming from an April 2011 incident.
Timothy Hall, 39, was arrested by Trooper Brandon Burton on Tuesday on an indictment warrant charging Hall with second-degree burglary and persistent felony offender.
According to the two-count indictment handed down by the Harlan Grand Jury on Dec. 3, on or about April 24, 2011, Hall entered the home of David R. Smith Jr. with the intent to commit a crime.
Hall was also charged with one count of first-degree persistent felony offender due to previous felony convictions in Harlan Circuit Court.
The case was investigated by Trooper Danny Caudill, according to the indictment.
Hall was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond.
In other police news, the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chadie Gibson, 32, of Cumberland, at 4:35 p.m. on Monday on a charge of trafficking a controlled substance and non-payment of fines.
Court documents state Gibson’s arrest was the result of a bench warrant issued for a probation violation for felony offense. Gibson was arrested by Deputy Matt Cope and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
