Abner’s Hair Designs, Evarts, and the Tony Dean Family, of Pounding Mill, hosted their first annual “Christmas in Evarts” event on Saturday in downtown Evarts. Their first “Little Miss/Mr. Christmas” pageant was held with nine girls and two boys participating. Every child was crowned and given a sash and trophy and declared Little Miss/Mr. Christmas.

During the “Christmas in Evarts” event on Saturday, hourly prizes were given away and hot chocolate, coffee, cider and cookies were available for a crowd of more than 300 to enjoy. Santa visited with the children. Costumed characters were donated for the event by Kilgore’s in Evarts.
