A new city walking park in Evarts is nearly finished. The park is along an old railroad track. Mayor Eddie Manning said work began on the park several months ago and now has a gold fish pond, playground equipment, picnic tables, benches, grill and shelter for residents to use. He said the walking track is 1,000 feet long, noting plans are to add a swing set and other playground equipment as funds become available. Pictured to the right is Manning.
